Designing at the intersection between human and machine

In the summer and fall of 2022, I was a UX Design Co-Op at Amazon Robotics on the System & Product team, where I had the opportunity to work on several projects to enhance work efficiency between human and robot:

1. Redesign the Human-Machine Interface for Amazon's Robotic workcells: I started with analyzing user interface problems and user research to high fidelity prototypes. I worked closely with the design team, product managers, engineers in an agile process. Additionally, I conducted user interviews, analyzed survey responses, created interaction flows, and presented usability findings to cross-functional teams to ensure alignment.

2. HRI Testing: I conducted HRI usability testing with another senior UX designer on site for Amazon's first fully automatous robot to observe Human-Robot Interaction and collect user data which helped me to understand UX in both physical and digital space.

3. Design System:
I worked on design system validation plan which include conducting surveys and retrospective sessions to validate list of improvement opportunities to our design components on consistency and clarity for internal and external users.

Due to NDA I can't share specific details about my project publicly, but feel free to contact me to discuss my experience!
